Highly praised for his work by Canova- thought to be taken from a 19th Century frieze by the Danish sculpture Bertel Thorvaldsen (1770-1844). He drew mainly from Greek mythology for his inspiration. The Thorvaldsen Museum in Denmark now has most of his works. Composition Available Aged Marble.
